MANDATORY GEAR
The mandatory gear list contains what we believe is the absolute minimum to keep you safe during the event and in Taiping’s unpredictable weather systems. If you would normally take something extra on a run of this duration, you should still take it.

| 10 | Jacket with hood for bad weather in the mountains. The jacket must be made of a waterproof* & breathable** membrane (e.g. OutDry). * Minimum recommended: 20,000 Schmerber ** RET ≤ 13 - The jacket must have an integrated hood or one attached by the original system designed by the manufacturer. - Seams must be sealed - The jacket must not have sections of fabrix which are not waterproof, but air vents fitted by the manufacturer (under-arm, in the back) since they do not damage in any obvious way the impermeability are accepted. - The runner must judge whether, accourding to the aforementioned criteria, the jacket complies with the regulations and therefore is suitable for bad weather in the mountains. However, during a check, the race director's opinion on the matter shall prevail. |
